About me

I'm Rebecca Hietink, a medical doctor with a deep passion for integrative and holistic medicine. For more than two years, I have been working as a physician while also providing lifestyle medicine consultations, helping people improve their health through sustainable changes in nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset.

I have successfully completed the two-year postgraduate program at the Academy for Integrative Medicine (AIM) and am now a Doctor of Integrative Medicine & Lifestyle Medicine. This education has strengthened my belief that the best healthcare combines evidence-based medicine with a holistic understanding of the body and mind.

For many years, I have been exploring a more holistic approach to health, one that looks beyond symptoms and recognizes that everything in the body is interconnected. This perspective is shaped not only by my medical education and clinical experience, but also by my own personal health journey. By improving my nutrition, managing stress, and optimizing my overall lifestyle, I experienced firsthand how powerful these changes can be for both physical and mental wellbeing.

These experiences reinforced my belief in the body's remarkable ability to heal and recover when given the right support.

Over the years, I have developed a particular interest in gut health and the gut–brain axis, an area where science and integrative medicine come together beautifully. I am fascinated by how the gut influences not only physical health, but also brain function, mood, energy levels, and overall wellbeing.

My mission is to help people uncover and address the root causes of their health concerns instead of simply managing symptoms. By combining medical knowledge with an integrative, evidence-based approach, I guide my clients toward realistic and sustainable changes that help them regain their health, energy, and quality of life.
